A big thank you to all who volunteered last Thursday! We had thirteen people work for a combined 28 1/2 hours. We expanded the garden from 7 to 11 beds (the 12th has been paid for), and added soil/compost mixture, worm compost, and cedar mulch. With a few more hours of work we will add our twelfth bed, and we hope in the next few weeks to add moveable tomato boxes, a flower garden, and an irrigation system.
The parents of our child development center have sponsored three of our beds, and on April 23rd we will have a blessing service. Our preschoolers will get the chance to learn about gardening, get their hands dirty in the soil, and eat food that they have grown themselves!
Thanks be to God that we can partner in God's work on our little piece of soil.
